Launched the club's first boat, a wooden coxed four bought from Corio Bay Rowing Club (originally named "Splatt"). Guest of honour and first club "matron" was Rachael Kininmonth, from the wider rowing community.

Annie South gave the launch speech, formally welcoming "the boat into the club" and naming the club "Australia's first queer rowing club".
